It's my personal opinion:
American dominion
Is floating down the drain.
So my task, oh, is in stating
The fiasco that's in waiting.
If we vote to have McCain.

He'll be surging with no thinking.
And splurging with no blinking.
While off demoting Spain.
I'll be stressing out on Hoover.
And obsessing about Vancouver.
If we vote to have McCain.

He's quick
To raise the shtick
Of blazing maverick.
But the fact is he is active in a clique:
With fruits to pick.
And boots to lick.

Our economy will stutter.
We won't have guns OR butter.
And budget bloat will reign.
For the national hobby
Will be learning how to lobby.
If we vote to have McCain.

ROTCs may enthuse him.
But PCs, they confuse him.
No dot in his domain.
Possessed of oh so many houses
Will he invest in any mouses?
If we vote to have McCain.

A clone.
Of Bush's own.
But what we have not known...
He's a relic on an evangelic loan.
The stage has shown.
His Age is Stone.

So it makes me more than nervous.
This worship of his service.
They wrote for his campaign.
Take his vision Iraq-ward.
He will have us tracking backward.
If we vote to have McCain.

His installing of attack guys
To do appalling ads with black guys.
Is totally profane.
No supposedly great hero
Should go sowing hate this year, oh.
Iffy vote to have McCain.

Too snide
To be the guide
We need to lead this ride.
He's just cynical, not clinical, and tied
To a divide
We can't abide.

When his choices all are Hobson's.
My guess is they'll be Dobson's.
Which I tote is not a gain.
Palin's such an effront'ry
He'll put stunt'ry over country
If we vote to have McCain...

I do not want to be saddled.
By someone slightly addled.
With a noted temper strain.
We'll be slave to a 'winger
With a favorite button finger.
If we vote to have McCain.

The stakes could not be higher.
The earthquakes could be dire.
So I quote my own refrain.
It is clear he's not a "changer."
And I fear here for the danger.
If we vote to have McCain.
